Training Department

Overview

The Training Department is responsible for planning, organizing, processing, and managing all staff training and development needs at the Customary Court of Appeal, FCT. It ensures that judges, registry staff, and other personnel receive continuous professional development to enhance performance, skills, and knowledge in their roles.

It collaborates with the National Judicial Institute (NJI), Centre for Management Development, universities, and professional bodies to deliver customized capacity-building programs.

Duties of the Training Department

• Conducting annual training needs assessments across all departments

• Designing and implementing continuous education programs for judicial staff

• Liaison with National Judicial Institute (NJI) for conference sponsorships

• Organizing in-house workshops, IT training, and induction for new staff

• Evaluating training impact and maintaining staff development records
