Special Duties Department

Overview

The Special Duties Department handles high-priority, cross-functional, and time-sensitive assignments at the Customary Court of Appeal, FCT. It provides direct support to the Hon. President and Hon. Chief Registrar for special projects, protocol, inter-agency liaison, official ceremonies, and any other duties that fall outside the routine functions of other departments.

It coordinates national judicial ceremonies, state visits, legal year activities, public relations engagements, and inter-governmental partnerships.

Duties of the Special Duties Department

• Protocol management for the Hon. President, Judges, and visiting dignitaries

• Coordination of Annual Legal Year, swearing-in ceremonies, and official events

• Inter-agency liaison with NJC, FCT Judiciary, and Federal Ministries

• Management of special projects assigned by the Chief Registrar

• Crisis management, public affairs, and high-level communications
