Library Department

Overview

The Library Department manages the law library and all legal information resources at the Customary Court of Appeal, FCT. It ensures that judges, registry staff, and other users have access to up-to-date legal materials, books, periodicals, judgments, statutes, and digital research tools to support judicial decision-making and legal research.

The department maintains an organized, catalogued, and accessible collection of legal texts while providing research assistance and reference services to enhance the quality of justice delivery.

Duties of the Library Department

• Selection, evaluation acquisition and organization of books and other Library materials

• Indexing Periodicals

• Compiling bibliographies and reading lists

• Taking charge of the Library

• Cataloguing, classification and ordering of books
