Library Department

Overview

The Library Department manages the law library and all legal information resources at the Customary Court of Appeal, FCT. It ensures that judges, registry staff, and other users have access to up-to-date legal materials, books, periodicals, judgments, statutes, and digital research tools to support judicial decision-making and legal research.

The library maintains comprehensive collections on customary law, Nigerian Law Reports, Supreme Court judgments, international treaties, and online legal databases.

Duties of the Library Department

• Acquisition, cataloguing, and classification of law books and journals

• Management of digital law databases and electronic library systems

• Legal research assistance for Judges, research assistants, and legal officers

• Binding, preservation, and archiving of rare customary law materials

• Current awareness services and law report distribution
