Finance and Supply Department

Overview

The Finance and Supply Department is responsible for the financial management, budgeting, procurement, revenue collection, pension administration, and supply chain operations of the Customary Court of Appeal, FCT. It ensures prudent use of resources, transparency in financial transactions, and compliance with all public sector financial regulations.

The department supports the Court’s judicial and administrative functions through efficient budget planning, timely salary payments, procurement of goods and services, and accurate financial reporting.

Duties of the Finance and Supply Department

• Interpreting and analyzing final account

• Indenting for, controlling and issuing Treasury Books and Forms

• Reconciling internal account with the Monthly Treasury Account

• Rendering financial returns and reports

• Examining revenue collection procedure to ensure compliance

• Preparing monthly financial statement for Gazette publication

• Management audit

• Examining Revenue returns to ensure that shortfalls are properly dealt with

• Recovery of arrears of Revenue

• Maintaining and reconciling subsidiary accounts
