Enforcement Department

Overview

The Enforcement Department is responsible for the execution and enforcement of judgments, orders, and decisions of the Customary Court of Appeal, FCT, as well as those from subordinate Customary Courts. It ensures that court rulings are implemented effectively, maintaining the authority and credibility of the judicial process.

The department liaises with law enforcement agencies, oversees bailiffs and sheriff operations, manages execution processes, and handles judgment debt recovery under customary law.

Duties of the Enforcement Department

• Execution of judgments, orders, and warrants of the Court

• Supervision and deployment of bailiffs and enforcement officers

• Liaison with Nigeria Police and security agencies for enforcement operations

• Management of execution records, auction sales, and recovered properties

• Protection of court property and service of legal processes
